Quantum-Computers Scotland was founded on an existing body of engineering work, not a whiteboard. Its heritage brand, Scotland Electronics, has been building precision systems for the world's most demanding environments since 1979.

Scotland Electronics placed its first order with CERN in 1979, at the age of 21, and has held a formal supplier relationship with the organisation ever since — four decades of engineering electronics that operate reliably beside some of the most sensitive detector equipment in the world.
That same engineering discipline was carried into sovereign defence programmes across multiple countries, and into deep-sea exploration systems built to survive extreme pressure. The thread running through all of it is the same: build for the environment that will try hardest to break you.
